Triple Rum Zombie
Lighting up our last week of Fiery February with a whole lot of fire!
Our Cup of Choice: Latitude Cup
The bright red colour of this cocktail looks so unique in each different coloured Latitude glass! The gemstone colours of these glasses really highlights this fiery cocktail.
Ingredients:
1 oz Bacardi
1 oz Appleton Estate Spiced rum
2 oz apple juice (we used fresh!)
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz raspberry & pear puree
1/4 oz lime juice
4 oz soda water
To make the raspberry and pear puree use fresh or frozen raspberries and pears and blend with a bit of water and a bit of sugar. We used our Citrus Reamers to make the lime juice. Save your lime half for the garnish in this drink!
Start by adding ice to your Latitude Cup. Then add both of the rums, all of the juices and the raspberry & pear puree to your cup. Give this a pretty good stir to get it all incorporated. Top up the remainder of the glass with your soda water.
Garnish:
1/2 Lime (leftover from juicing!)
1/4 oz 151 Rum
What makes this drink a true zombie is the fire!! We took our lime and cut it in half (the same lime we used for our lime juice) and then floated the 151 rum in the hulled out lime on top of the drink. Carefully light it on fire!! We suggest using a long lighter or long match. Our staff member Tyler made us a couple glass crazy straws that we used to drink these! But if you’re sipping straight from the glass then make sure you blow out the flame first!
